Dr. Jessica Krant is one of New York's favorite dermatologists. With private offices in Manhattan and Westchester, and a teaching appointment in Brooklyn, it's easy to get an appointment and find out what NYC already knows: Dr. Krant cares.
Jessica J. Krant, M.D., M.P.H. is a board-certified dermatologist
specializing in medical, cosmetic, and surgical dermatology, including
Mohs micrographic skin cancer surgery. After graduating from Harvard College magna
cum laude, Dr. Krant attended Columbia University College of Physicians
and Surgeons, where she graduated with Alpha Omega Alpha Medical
Society Honors, receiving both an M.D. and a Master's Degree in Public Health. Dr. Krant
completed her medicine internship at Lenox Hill Hospital and
dermatology residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. After
completing formal American College of Mohs Surgery (ACMS) fellowship
training, she is now a member of the ACMS.
Dr. Krant is a fellow
of the American Academy of Dermatology (FAAD), a diplomate of the
American Board of Dermatology, and a member of the American Society for
Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS). She also holds the position of Alternate Delegate
to the American Medical Association representing the ASDS, and has been asked to participate annually in the
AAD's Washington Legislative Conference, during which invited dermatologists lobby
Congress for health system reform. Dr. Krant was
honored with a nomination and invitation to attend the AAD's third
annual Leadership Forum, at which a select number of promising
dermatologists train with leaders in the field, to advance the
specialty.
In
addition to her work in private practice, Dr.
Krant is Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in NYC. Dr. Krant has
authored textbook chapters as well as journal articles for publication, consulted for industry, and presented at medical conferences.
Her opinions are quoted in the press and she has been a
regular
beauty columnist for Consumer's Union ShopSmart Magazine as well as a
contributor to their OnHealth Newsletter.
